SATURDAY-- 27 JANUARY 07-- THREE BRIDGE FIASCO
We stood on the end of pier 39 and watched the race boats ghost past the end of the pier in very light winds, much of the time just barely stemming the light ebb current. Many of the racers hugged the cityfront, and others went further out into the bay. The former group are captured in the first sequence of photos.
Later in the afternoon, about 4 pm, we went out for a sunset sail and encountered some of the racers heading toward the finish line, or heading home after finishing.
